Life Studio is owned by Charl and Tiana Smith. We are both full
time professional photographers specializing in capturing memories for families
to treasure for ever.

images.
As
parents of 3 amazing kids ourselves, we understand the importance of having
great family photos. They grow us so fast and we want to freeze time by
capturing them every step of the way.

Being a photographer is a very rewarding
job. I get to capture special moments for families for years to come. When I
look at a photo, all the memories of that time come streaming back like a
movie, so what a privilege for me to give this gift to others. I just love
holding a newborn baby and rocking them to sleep to take those cute posed
images. I love looking into new parents' eyes when they hold their newborn for
the photos. Every time I do a shoot, I think of the birth and first few days of
my 2 kids (now 7, 4 and almost 2).
The 6 month old shoots are my favorite,
then the babies can sit and respond and just be very very cute!! The new craze
is Cake Smash shoots and this is also something I enjoy a lot. Those sweet
moments of smashing the cake and then the bubble bath afterwards (pun intended
:-)) And don't forget the maternity photos - the anticipation in the parents'
eyes is amazing! So, all I am trying to say is, I love my job! And it gives me
enough flexibility to still do most important thing in life - being a wife to
my amazing husband and a mom to my three little treasures.

I
am passionate about people, about God and I love photography. I just love
working with people and capture their most important day in their lives for
them, to freeze the moment forever. .
I
am a full time photographer for the past 12 years and covered more than 300
weddings and 100s of studio / family sessions during this time. I can’t
believe that my "hobby" pays my bills. Yes, how many people can say
that? . .
Every
day I thank God for the opportunities He brings along my path, I thank Him for
the talent and creativity so that I can take photos that really speaks to the
heart. He is after all The Creative One.
In the past 12 years I have been blessed to photograph some really great weddings and families. I had the privileged to photograph the weddings / families of some celebrities, South African sport stars and even some international models.
I am also the owner of Agapé Studio where I focus more on weddings and Magma Media where I focus more on corporate photography and videography.
